I haven’t shown anything from DeviantArt in awhile, so . . .
Robert Tracy describes this work: “I wanted to show that there’s not only a natural revulsion against this supernatural sacrifice that the little girl feels, but that there’s a real world out there that’s sunny and colorful and bright. There is an escape.”
Well put. I noticed that the crucified figure on the wall is female rather than male. Or are my perceptions off? I’m certainly opposed to Tracy’s political views, but I can’t dispute his artistic ability nor his critical view of organized religion.
