Alfred Eisenstaedt (1898-1995) was a German-born photographer who emigrated to the United States. His most famous work is with Life magazine which included the iconic image V-J Day in Times Square. He was noted for being able to capture the humanity of moments in the course of history and, naturally, that included some little girls.
