Wow, what a month it’s been!  The big news is, of course, that I have taken on an editor/contributor to my little project here.  His name is Ron, and going by the quality of his first three posts I’d say it was an excellent decision on my part.  I’m confident that our combined knowledge will assure Pigtails in Paint continues to bring  joy and useful information to its followers and fans in the years ahead.  In terms of the art itself last month we continued to look at Jugend illustration, but we also got back to looking at a wider range of unrelated art, primarily some French painting and a little photography towards the end of the month.  We also looked at the symbolism of cherries in art featuring young girls, with a focus specifically on John Millais’s “Cherry Ripe!”
